With Ellie being retired and Blue boy only being 2 I have been on the look out for another horse. Prior to Blue I had an Irish cob mare but just didn't click with her, lovely as she was.
Today Tara came home. She is a 16.2 Chesnut mare of unknown breeding. She has lived totally alone for the last four years and hasn't been ridden in two years. There is just something about her that I fell in love with though, she is absolutely fab.
She is normally a swine to load (took two hours last time) but we got her on in ten minutes and put her in an adjoining paddock to Ellie and Blue for a couple of hours. They all seemed ok so chucked them in together
All is well though, Ellie and Tara are already joined at the hip with Blue as herd leader watching over his girlies
I am going to start lunging her this week, taking her back to basics before getting on her and seeing how we go. I am so pleased with her, she is adorable.
Here she is, and yes I realise she is FAT!
