I did prelim 13 and novice 21 - felt v nervous and sick for prelim 13 - did the canters and a trot at the wrong time (fortunatly judge didn't realise and just thought I was riding a disobediant horse
) We cleverly picked up the canter lead on the wrong leg both times. Then we slunk out of the arena, dressed into warmer clothing, and settled down for a nap to make th 2 hrs 20 mins to our next test go quicker.
Felt too cold and stiff to be nervous for novice 21, horsey just felt too stiff for it - didn't manage to strike off canter on the wrong lead at all
but did manage to carrer around nearly out of control and halt was so briliantly on the forehand that I was nearly catapaulted over his shoulder
Amazingly did not come last in either class and got some lovely purple rosettes that my daugher is parading around in as they match her dress so well. Score for prelim 13 was 60% and 59.5 for novice 21.
To round off the day half the trailer lights refused to work until I was unhitching them at home
Now if someone could just remind me why I pay to do this?
