Just wanted share this.
I am slowly making the transition to barefoot and the back shoes came off yesterday. I haven't had chance to discuss it with my farrier as he just comes and does my boy when I'm at work. So he text me to say he was coming yesterday and just briefly asked him to leave off his hinds and to be gentle with them so he had plenty to ware down.
Expecting to find that he had stripped the frogs and soles as he does when shoeing, I was pleasantly suprised to find that he had left the frogs completely alone and taken very little off the sole and just tided up the edge with the rasp.
Pointless post really, just wanted to say how pleased I am with my enlightened farrier and I hope that I can continue working with him as opposed to swapping him for a trimmer coz he is ace!
