Horse pulled a front shoe off in the snow on Wednesday. A quick text and he arrived this morning in the snow. Couldn't get up to the yard, so shod in the village.

Can you spot him?

Yup, that's him climbing over the shelf to get into the back....his side door had frozen shut so he had to climb in to open it from inside in order to get his anvil out!

He was rewarded with bacon and egg sarnies!

Haha! Well I won't name him just yet, he might not want me too!

We have a lot of snow - he's a star, as is his little van. As for the lock, it was a dodgy mechanism inside as it was unlocking with the clicky button thingy. WD40 came to the rescue. We all need a bit of lubrication now and then!

Love those photos! Especially as your horse isn't even bothered by the palava going on behind, he's going "there's a camera, better pose, ears forward!"

Ha ha! Brilliant pics! Good thing mine aren't shod, as no way would a farrier get near my field at the moment. We've got sheet ice and snow blocking the way. Had to do an emergency throwing of water container earlier, to prevent botty over breast type fall.

He's a good un!

That's such a great photo :D deserves a caption!

I saw my farrier yesterday and he said he'd managed to get to all but one client across the last week as they are just too snowed in still. Grand chaps :)

Hilarious! And nice to know someone else has a photo of their farrier's bum as well :D (for entirely innocent reason obviously! :o)

Nope, not Sam. I'm in Northumberland if that helps the guessers! I've emailed in to H&H but they said the quality might not be good enough to go in the mag.
