And fatter! I did notice her hair was thinner and I thought I'd overdone the clip when the inside of her back legs were bald plus she just didn't grow much hair after clipping. She was like a brillo pad but her hair is now very soft and fluffy, her belly and flanks have only fuzz on them. Add to this she was very switched off, miserable looking and did not want to exercise. The people in the know will have got this sorted already! Then I noticed a white spot in her eye so off to the vet, spot could indicate thyroid problems, when I put all her symptoms together I had no doubt the bloods would confirm Hypothyroidism and it did, big style. Her function is very low so she's on meds for the rest of her life. A week in there is already a tiny difference in her mood so we are going in the right direction. I feel awful that I didn't put some of her symptoms together, not that I would have thought thyroid but a vet would have. Hopefully I will have a much happier little dog soon.
