Dressage My favourite Lusitano (Equador) scores 79% in GPS at CDI Alter (video)

The only CDI being held at the moment is in Portugal at the Alter stud and my current favourite young horse scored a lovely 79% in the GPS. Still some mistakes to iron out and he does like a good slobber which might put some people off but I think he really is one to watch!

Joao is such an incredible rider too. So quiet yet effective and really loves this horse. I have been lucky enough to see them training at home and out competing and it’s always humbling to watch this partnership together.

For me he seems to be a real trier and has expression without that circus/edge of explosion look that a lot of the top GP horses can have.

Also his hind legs matches his front which seems to be rare now ?.

The Olympics next year might be very exciting for Portugal as they have a number of very good horses at the moment.
