So after a lot ( a lot a lot a lot ) of faffing about with saddle, stirrups, back, uneveness (mine/hers, the next door neighbour!), and deliberating about whether I was just too rubbish to justify renewing my BS membership, last Thursday I bit the bullet, and renewed.

So today we pootled off to felbridge, which I knew would be quiet due to hickstead being on, for the British Novice. It was the quietest I've ever seen it, but we jumped round reasonably ok, the odd steering issue, and realised I had jumped my first BS double clear (god, that's been a long time coming!), so hung around to hear results, to discover we were 3rd, and got some actual prize money, and a love yellow rosette-hooray!

I have realised I am very lucky with z, I messed up the jump off a bit, so I let her gallop to the last, she has a long stride and covers the ground, and I know I can let her move on towards an over and she will jump it for me (at this height anyway lol)
Thanks :)
