My first cob and he's Clydesdale too

He looks totally adorable. This is really weird because I followed your blog for ages, so I want to ask how Ace and Radar are coping with a new dude!

I have a Clyde x Welsh pony, he's like yours only black, he's coming up 3 years in May, had him since he was a very scared 4 month old and he's now 14.1hh but very short in the back, he only takes a 5ft 6in rug as my Welsh Sec D who is only 14hh takes a 6ft rug. Not sure what size saddle he would need also he has the problem of slipping stifles in both back legs my vet hopes he will out grow that problem, but it is well known in clyesdales.

It was the quietest introduction I have ever done. I have not heard a single squeal or seen a raised leg, and when I went to fetch them in they were grazing as a triangle, so close they were almost touching. They seem to think he's as lovely as I do.

I have a cob from Ireland, he is 4 year old and 15.3. His parentage is recorded either but he is also obviously part clyde, he is a cracking lad, great fun and so clever.

Your lad is lovely xx

I have to admitt I would have discounted my cob Clydesdale / welsh D if it had not been for the forum however I won't be doing it again they are not for me .

Good luck with the new boy.

I have a HW Irish maxicob of unknown parentage, but quite possibly with a proportion of Clydie. I describe him as being built like a Landrover Defender but riding like a Ferrari!

Standing dozing in the stable, he looks like a dobbin, but when he's up and going under saddle, my trainer refers to him as mini Valegro! He is intelligent, (too) sensitive and willing, and gives the most fabulous ride. Dull and boring, he isn't. Have fun, but I'm with Mike 007 re the hay :D :D :D :D!!!!
