"Dear mummy,
Oh my God, when they said I was going on holiday I expected the sechelles, or at least Skegness....

Last night was fabulous fun. I had this whole stable to myself, so I made the most of it. I ate my swede in about five seconds flat, then got a bit bored. There was no-one to pick up my hay for me, so i didnt se the point in playing the 'drop the hay over the door and wait for human to give it back' game. Ho hum, what to do?
Digging banks out is great fun. Even more fun is digging a hole, pooing in it, then covering it up again, especially if you do it riiiiight in the corner of the bank.
But that got boring, so I played 'poo bobbing'. This one entails pooing in the water, and seeing if it floats.
Unfortunately the human managed to get some wormer down me yesterday so my poo wasnt in any fit state to float

.
In the middle of the night (weeell, it felt like it... it was still pitch black) the human came back and woke me up. I was made to stand and pretend to look interested in a haynet, but there were spooky ghosts on the yard, so I didnt want to stand outside the stable. The human said I had to. It was mildly amusing watching her find yet another pile of poo under yet another destroyed bank...
I was then put back to bed to eat my breakfast.
The other human arrived and gave the boys their breakfast. They were all shouting in hunger so i tried it too. It didnt work... I think she knew I'd already been fed. So I watched as the others tucked in and tried to hide my disappointment in only having a haynet left.
Later on the human came back and took me for my first walk. I TRIED to see the beach, but it wasnt anywhere in sight. I stopped, dug my heels in and neighed as loud as I could, THREE times, but the beach wasnt there

. The human then put me in the small paddock so I could 'let off some steam'. No beach there either, and I only got half an hour, which (after searching for even a hint of an ice cream) I spent eating all i could.
Back to my stable for a groom, and another mucking out.
This evening the human came back yet again, and we went for a walk with my neighbour (a rather dashing welsh cob). He said it was all a con... there was no sea, so beach either. So I made the most of the grass instead

Mummy, I'm now tucked up in bed, having had lots of fuss and attention. I must have walked 4 miles today, and enjoyed the lovely scenery. I have to confess they have these midget cows which scared the hell out of me

. The human laughed at me and said they were just calves, but by God, they're UGLY!!!
I had my tea, and have snuggled up in my fleece into a deep bed, ready for more adventure tomorrow. Everyone keeps saying how pretty I am, so excuse me if my head grows a little....

Love M xxxx"

I think it'll be a few more days before she stops gawping at everything lol. It's like "woah, what's that?? " at everything. But by this evening she had chilled right down. Sundays are always quiet, but I think being on a yard of starnge horses all coming and going... builders about, tractors etc she got a little excited bless her.
She's very vocal too
