Well I did it. Not our best test.

He warmed up lovely, but then it all went wrong when we got in there. Some nice bits but I was disapointed that he could have gone much better. I think I prob tensed up a bit with nerves & he took advantage a bit!! However we've done it now & So next time it shouldn't be so bad.
Tomorrow we're at Towerlands for 2 novices (I'd already entered before we got asked to do the team) so hopefully it'll seem much easier & he'll be a good boy.

Well done! I'm really pleased for you.

Did your horse find the warm up with no fence a little exciting?

Finni and I had to go for "words" in the little rubber enclosed one and then much walking around car park before test.

We came 6th, I think, with 61.2%. Scores all very close, winner got 65%. Not best score, but he was pinging! Have made a policy decision to take a pony friend out to keep him company when he's competeing alone as he's getting quite stressy.

.

How did your team do? I left at about 1pm so not sure how ours got on.

I warmed up indoors & had intended to do my last 5 mins outdoors but the one before me had withdrawn so I ended up going straight in.
I think I saw your test...... he looked lovely. Well done on your score.
I think our team was unplaced. As it was a friendly we were trying out some new people. Hence me doing my first Elementary as part of a team!!!

Very sensible! I was being dumb...thought they were using indoor one.

He was OK, bit tense (as was I!) Didn't disgrace ourselves, which is always a bonus

I was def v tense!!!! Was soooo glad to halt at the end!
After tomorrow my next (& last outing before Xmas) is Epping forest. How about you?

Finni's off to Shoplands for XC next week, with friend. My next one is Epping Forset too. Doing the first Novice (N23 i think). Then a RC one at beginning of Dec. Then will prob take a rest and let Finni go out and do some SJ with my friend, who may event him next year.

Um, probably from about 12 till about 1.30? Took my mad groom for a bit of lunch while I dropped in my entry for comp next week (no, not too tight to pay for stamp, just worried it wouldn't get in on time!!).

Everyone looked v smart, wish I'd have known you were there, would have looked out for you! I know what you mean about the warm up with no fence - try doing a test in there, especially when the jumps are stacked vertically at the other end - eyes on stalks doesn't begin to describe it!

Had a delish full English fry up, with Badger the cafe's springer spaniel looking on with adoring eyes in case I dropped some bacon.....
