Also it's amazing how much braver you get with a drink inside you!! lol

you will have a blast! i went for my first time a year ago and was my horses first time aswell and it was amazing, we had a awsome time!

Great Stuff - you'll have a blast...
Deffo have green ribbon in your horses tail.
I would also make sure you introduce yourself to either the Hunt Staff or Master as courtesy, explaining its your first time, and anything you should be aware of.
Other than that, make sure you have some chocolate in your pocket, a hip flask if you want, and a bit & martingale you think will be strong enough.
Don't over do it either - just do what you and the neddy are happy with and don't be sorry to come home sooner than the rest - but be sure to say Good Night to the Field Master when you do and thank him / her.

make sure you finish before you and ponio are too tired to get home safely.
make sure you give ponio chance to unwind before you give him tea at home.

I have wire cutters, baler band, tape, phone, spare leathers and thats me and my jacket full lol

Get a leather saddle case for the cutters, buy a countryman's belt and wear it on your breeches (negates need for spare leathers) then fill the space with chocolate. Sorted!
Bellman & Flint do some reasonably priced stuff.
