......terribly!!! Jack was a complete g!t!!! He went buckaroo on a circle at bottom end of the school and then once he had calmed down took off with me down the long side of the school and i just couldnt stop him. He went flat out gallop and then slammed the anchors on at the end of the school and i nearly went flying over the side of the school-i was looking down on the 6ft drop as he basically hung me off it. I shook my foot free from the stirrup and righted myself and then I pointed him in the direction of the corner to get off. I have to admit i was a bit scared. My friend (who is also the yard manager) got on him and sorted him out for me. I couldnt get back on though as I had used the little strength i did have trying to hold on to him.

O yes!!! His mum is workin him hard with instructor and groom this week-his work has been upped cuz hes become a bolshy little git and keeps chargin off to the field in the morning. his whole training schedule is being re-thought out i believe!!! grrr

Yeah, he was superb. He said he would have got on him himself but he[keith] is too strong a rider for Jack and it would have been a battle of wills. Jo was fantastic tho.

I really did see myself going flying headfirst into the floodlight at the top of the school tho!!

oh no, it's such a nightmare when something like that happens to knock your confidence. Jack seems like a bit of a handful! Is he normally so willfull?! At least you're not hurt. Are you planning another lesson?

Maybe next time you have a lesson, lunge jack first do he gets all the bucking and bolting out his system! I used to do that with Louis (he's mellowed a bit with age!).

I will do. Keith said he is quite strong but not normally that bad an Jo was quite shocked. Keith said that basically Jack is not the type of horse that you can just school every now and then he needs regular schooling. ANd he wants to talk to Liz about it. He told me not to worry and that he would have done exactly the same thing with her.

I really did think i was hitting the deck though!!! hehe

If it had been videoed-we'd have defo got £250!!!

Its weird-racehorses-not a prob, i took tumbles at speed from them plenty of times, Jack 15hh and he be the one to knock my confidence!!!!

Louis' the same though he needs to be regular work and routine and things go much smoother! Shame you didn't film it!!! £250's is a good sum of money he he! He'll little jack but he does look strong! Little doesn't always mean less strong! My last horse a 16.3 TB was 90% easier to control than Louis who is only 15.3! He's a little powerhouse!

Does Liz not school very often?

OOps! He looked so nice at the dressage at wild farm so it would be great if you could be going out doing some dressage? I think he would do really well. I bet with regular work he'll calm down a lot. xxx

Yeah I'd love to!! Thats why I wanted lessons, I'm quite a sloppy rider (imho) and have alot of bad habits-i need my racing habits booted out of me!!
