My First Lesson on the Dizzy One

But! Not from her being an idiot, because she was really very good indeedy

. I am soooooo unfit

Didnt realise how bad i was

Anyhoo, despite not having been worked for nearly two weeks (due to my job!), and it being the first time she had been ridden in the school, she was brill

. I let her down with my general unfitness(!), but Lorraine was very understanding, whilst still managing to make me work my socks off

.

Instuctor (Lorraine) said nice things about Dizz. Admired her suppleness, etc., and even managed to make me feel like I wasn't the worst rider ever

I did find that my shoulders were very tense and tended to go forward, which was very quickly picked up on lol. I think it was the whole lesson thing, and being in a school; the last time I rode in anything resembling a school, I came off and bashed my head

We went for a stroll down the road afterwards and I immediately relaxed

I rode in the K2, which necessitated my stirrups going up... I was used to a dressage saddle. Oh, the outside lower half of my right leg aches! It's now swollen

Maybe I really should take up knitting

Sounds like a good lesson. Im laughing at the aching, only because ive had that before- feeling pleased that youve had a good lesson but embarassed at how unfit you are!

It was good

. Only walk and trot (with a lot more trot than Lorraine wanted lol).

Oh yes to embarassed - rofl

So soaked I could now be mistaken for a mermaid (if it wasn't for the wrinklieness lol). Still aches though! This does not bode well for tomorrow lol.

Can sympathise with aching legs; had my first lesson in over a month last week- don't know how I end up so much more sore after an hour's lesson than I do after an hour's normal schooling, my instructor obviously works me harder than I work myself
