Wow, what a day!!
I am absolutely over the moon that I FINALLY got to go to Milton Keynes event centre to jump the XC course! Serenity was an star, after a little sticky moment when I asked her to walk into the water for the first time, but once she was in, she was away! She flew over everything I pointed her at and we even managed to string four fences together, which I've never attempted outside of show jumping, as she gets very strong and fast. She was still strong and she was still fast, but I never felt in danger and in fact she got us out of a couple of hairy moments with her quick thinking and I was able to trust her more and slip my reins, go with her and let her take control to figure her own legs out!

I mostly stuck to smaller fences, but at one point confidence over came me and we popped a 90cm fence! It still feels a bit like a dream, I've been dreaming about going for so long! I've done a few jumps at home before, but I feel that's a bit different.

I still can't stop smiling and I think I've looked at the pictures 20 times already!
I am sad that I won't have another chance to go in the near future, as I have just accepted a job in Wales!! I'm so glad I have such wonderful pictures and memories to look back on though :D

good luck with it, you are very talented so will smash it.
have you got a yard sorted to move Serenity with you, or need to sort it once you have got there?

Lovely photos - where in Wales will you be? I'm in South Wales just outside Cardiff so happy to help if you're going to be in the same area and need any local knowledge or advice.

Thanks everyone!!
I had such a great time, Serenity was just amazing :D The jumps are fantastic!

I'll be in Welshpool and I have a potential place at a yard near-by for Serenity :) I'm hopefully going to view it in the next week or so! It's all a bit frightening, in an exciting way!

Ah you're a bit far from me for me to offer anything useful then. Hope the move goes well. Croeso i Gymru (croy sore ee gum ree) Welcome to Wales! In case you're confused by the "G", Cymru as a name is normally with a C (come ree) but when it has "i" in front of it the C changes to a G just so that the words flow better. It's a bit like you would say "a bike" but "an apple" in English, although it's the noun that changes in Welsh, not the preposition.
