Went to Norton Heath yesterday for the first round trailblazers. Did the 75cm and 85cm classes. Alisha warmed up really nicely and was really sensible jumping in the practice ring (normally she is a maniac and charges over everything!). Did loads of transitions with her to get her listening to me. She was a bit spooky going into the arena, but just kicked her on and told her to get on with it lol! I usually have problems with her running out of fences, but was determined to get round! She flew the first fence and after that was off! She felt fantastic and she jumped a really nice double clear and came 4th, so we qualified in that class for the second round! Was our first double clear ever too!
Took her into the 85cm, she jumped round really nicely but had 4 fences down. Think she was quite tired by then (was a long journey and a lot of waiting around). Was really pleased with her though!
