This is my late lamented dog of a lifetime Fred.

My daughter has put this on for me via photobucket just in case you start to be impressed by this geriatic I can not take the credit for it.

When she has more time she will show mehow to put on my current dogs plus my other old dobe and Lancashire Heelers.

Fred was a rescue coming to me after biting someone in his previous home via his breeder who was a friend of my farrier. He was the fatest Dobe I had ever seen and was very challenging. I took him to training classes and he was very good although did have issues with other dogs who would kick off around him.

Hope you like him.

My son puts all my pics on photobucket for me, offspring do have their uses don't they.:D
Look forward to seeing the other pictures, especially the heelers. If you show me yours I'll show you mine!:p

MM how were your Heelers bred mine came from Devon. I read about the breed from The Farmers Weekly and they were made for us. My daughter did agility with one of them albeit in a village fete way.

I only had one, she came from Wiltshire. Off the top of my head she was Haelarbobs breeding, going back to Tushielaw Clyde. I saw one that was doing really well in mini agility, did a bit of research and was smitten, big dogs in little bodies.

That Tushilaw Clyde is really good breeding he was top dog I believe.

I agree about big dogs in little bodies I could never understand why they were not more popular but perhaps that is to their advantage and puppy farmers never got hold of them.
I had 2 bitches who were related and about a week apart in age but totally different personalities, both from the Sandpits kennels and all were fed tripe by the breeder this would have been 20 years ago.

Glad you think my Fred is handsome he was huge although my latest is not far off and still growing I believe.

We must have had heelers around the same time, we got ours in 1991. Sandpits rings a bell, I have a feeling the heeler I first saw and fell for doing agility was a Sandpits, could be wrong though, twas a long time ago.

MM your memory is good I think your thinking of Sandpits Wood Sage(Dinah) she won lots of agility comps. One of mine(Jess) was a full sister to her from another litter she was very capable of agility but would suddenly down tools so could not be relied on in comps.

Jadey your boy is beautiful Ive not seen one with white on before so he is pretty unique.

Yep, that was her , I remembered her as Dinah and wasn't 100% on the reg name. Our heeler was the same, very capable but would totally go on strike.
Cayla, less of your lip :p

Fred had a girlfriend Lulu a beautiful rescue greyhound who we used to go to training together, he adored her as do my present Dobes. She comes and stays with us when friends go on holiday and fits in so well this is her second home.

I think going by my lot a Dobe would go very well altough they are high energy and need a lot of exercise. When Lulu walks with us she tends to lope along with me while my dogs hare round the field and the only time she will run if they put up a deer.

As you know Greyhounds dont need a long of exercise but my friends say she sleeps for a week when she has been here on holiday here.

ooooo I had never thought of exercise.... perhaps I had better wait until I have really given up work! Thanks for the info though Dobiegirl, it is really appreciated :)

Must dig out some snaps of the dobe at our club doing agility. Tears of laughter stuff :D jumps the A-frame in one go while we all wince and refuses to come out of the tunnel, it's nice and dark in there!
