She had been suffering from an aggressive brain tumour for quite a while and recently got an infection. She past away peacefully last night. She was 13.
Just thought I would post. She loved horses and recommended my last riding school. She was the only person to invite me to a party after I left our middle school a year early , and it didn't bother her the way it had bothered others(state school to private school) .
I'm quite upset, but it hasnt really kicked it yet. I didn't even know her as well as others well so thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family.
This is the second person my age to die this year ( The other was a boy hit by car on bike) so its getting really too much now. Its really made me aware of my own mortality and I'm going to try so hard now with Molly because she was so excited when I got her and I want to make her proud.
Okay , better sign off now before I have a cyber breakdown.
I lovee you Chloe <3

Oh my goodness, that's no age at all. So sorry for your loss. I experienced a similar few tragedies when I was 17. Thinking of you :(

That is so sad, 13 is just so young.
Makes you realise you need to get on and enjoy every day.
Take care x

So sorry to hear this. I am a lot older but still remember childrens names etc that died whilst I was at school. Awful for a child to die. Reading your post I remember very vividly the assemblies and them not being their anymore.

Its natural to be sad and also everytime anyone dies its a very humbling experience. I genuinely think that good people that die would not want us left behind to be miserable forever. As they say never forgotten. Try and do well in your exams too your friend would want you to.

I'm so very sad for you - I've lost so many friends over the years, of various ages, and it is a truly terrible thing, especially when they are so young. Hugest possible <<<<hugs>>>> xxxxx

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

So, so sorry to read about your friend, and especially poignant today when the news reported a campaign to raise awareness of brain tumours in children and young people. big hugs to you. X

Fellewell - that is lovely and brought me to tears.

Love this poem. It was read at my OHs nannas funeral. Its very moving.

RIP CHLOE,sleep tight.

How very sad, and what a lovely, mature post you wrote about her and your friendship.

I'm a lot older than you, but a good friend of mine died last year. We organised a show in her memory, and I competed on my horse with her riding gloves on - so that she got to come round the course with me...

Look after yourself. I bet a lovely girl like you sound will have lots of other friends too - not to replace her, but to help you get through this.xxx

Oh Molly, I am so sorry, my brother lost 3 of his best friends in a car crash when he was at University many many years ago and although he was desperately upset for ages afterwards he can now look back at the good fun times they had together and laugh at their stupid pranks.

Take care of yourself. xx
