thought i would post some pics up of my follicle-challenged pooch. A while ago i posted about whether to keep at it trying to make him eat dog food, or to just carry on with human food, the replies were really helpful and im happy to say i finally found a kibble type food he actually likes and also eats meat and veg too! finally found what works for him!

having a run like a loony at the beginning of Autumn, he can out run most gun dogs and lab's - only problem is sometimes he doesnt quite keep up with his legs and roly polys! as demonstrated...

the roly poly ones still make me laugh!

oh definately !! He goes in the stable for a rummage round while my horse is in there and loves a bit of rough and tumble with his JRT best friend.
Yes lots of jumpers for winter time! Being bald he gets very cold very easily and then he is miserable and refuses to go out unless properly attired for it!

I've never seen a Chinese Crested being a proper dog before - how sweet is he

He looks to be having a great time

Glad you found some food to suit him too

i to have cresteds and mine run on the moors all the time i have full coated ones as well as hairless they are great characters. Small breeds are only woosy dogs if you make them its great to see them having freedom like yours , best carol

He's such a cutie.

All the wee dogs have their coats on here now. Stella has already started to shake like mad, and it's still a relatively balmy 39 degrees.

Is there a point he absolutely cannot tolerate the cold? The two Cresteds from our park seem to come out much less when it starts getting down to -5 and -10c.

OMG have never seen a chinese crested before having such fun, and love his wardrobe. I have a bulldog and he gets lots of attention, its great having something a bit different to the usual labs, gsd's etc.

thanks for everyones nice replies, he is definately a 'normal' dog he goes for long runs and comes jogging with me in summer, i have toyed with the idea of letting him run along while i hack my horse out as he is very horse savvy but will safve that for warmer days!

Prose - he goes out in the snow to do his business etc but apart from that he isnt too keen!! As long as its dry he pretty much goes out in any temp, well wrapped up he is fine. He doesnt care for wet weather at all, he will happily sleep in the car all day at the stables rather than come out in anything more than a drizzle!

they are great fun arent they. Mine is very shy with strangers which can be a shame as when he 'knows' someone he is a hoot and loves to be fussed and play crazy games that usually involve him just haring round as fast as he can.

Great guard dog too, he goes mental if someone lets themself in my office or flat, if i open the door to them its fine though. he is quite clever really under his quiff!

his brother is a puff - gorgeous boy he is too. I may be getting a new edition next year depending on what Rockys mum gives birth too, not sure if i would have another hairless or go for a puff. although sometimes you dont get to choose do you - more like the puppy chooses you!!

My hairless boy is very out going he is a show dog but will go off with any one he just loves people and always has to sit on their laps and likes to nibble the end of your nose. He is called Marquis and he is just like his mum who is a powderpuff who is also very friendly and out going they are both black and white and i also have a puff dog called flame who is gold coloured. Super breed i love them to bits.
