Meet my fabby Spanackles. Left to right:

Poppy - 4 year old rescue cocker - works in the beating line with me on shoots

Bertie - 14 yr old rescue that arrived last year after family decided they no longer wanted him - they have since got a staffie, and then got rid of that as well!

Kendric - 5 month old springer who is my field trial prospect

Barney - 4 year old rescue cocker who also works in the beating line with me

Lovely buncha pooches there! Sad to know that someone could give up a dog at 13! But glad you took that one on - all looking rather content having taken over the furniture. Where do YOU get to sit?!

His first owner gave him up aged about 10 or 11 when his wife died. The new family just seem to have taken the absolute piss out him and totally abused his good nature - he could barely walk when he arrived but is now bounding around everywhere and keeping up with the pup.

Luckily the sofa is a HUGE corner sofa ensemble, so enough room for 4 dogs, 2 humans and a few cats!

Awww, he's really lucky then - he's found a nice new bunch of friends - human and canine (and feline). :D :D :D
