My girl is finally home from hospital!

Some of you may know that my mare has been in hospital for over two months now with serious infections and there were times when we nearly lost her and times when I considered getting her PTS. Well she came home today. She's not out of the woods yet and she came home to a DIY yard (had to move as vets bills exceeded limit and I couldn't afford part-livery any more), but at least she's home. She has to stay in for a couple of weeks with just some walking and grazing in hand, but she walked out of the horsebox, into her new stable at the side of a sheep pen, had a roll, and then started eating....A pointless post I know, but I just feel so relieved she's home. Photo below is from when I took her to her first dressage a week after I got her from a racing yard where she had lived out all winter (that's why she's so thin)

She seemed to settle in well - wasn't sure about the sheep in the pen next to her stable, but she'll get used to them and it didn't stop her eating....I'll walk her out with Rebel tomorrow as he's so good he'll keep her calm. They're in stables next to each other with bars at the top, so probably falling in love as we speak!
