My heart sank when I saw the title of this thread, and seeing the post didn't fix that. It is clearly just a money-making scheme, as with most 'new' breeds it isn't benefitting the dog in any way and appears to be entirely about aesthetics (people with dog allergies already have other breeds to choose from). It's not a type of dog that should attract the type of owner swayed by fads.

I look forward to the day a human fundamentally alters a breed for the better (eg dachshunds with shorter backs/longer legs) and it becomes accepted into the mainstream. At least a hairless American Bulldog isn't the worst new breed (less deformed than exotic bullys for a start).

Its totally repulsive but also I understood that if dogs sit like this, there is a weakness/problem.

JUst horrible and what next?

I'm not sure that always applies. My young, super fit, super athletic and sound whippet sits like that sometimes. Usually in the car when he's in the front seat. Looks pretty comfortable for him
