My God How many more ghastly owners?

maybe if it goes to appeal the judge will say "well, yes, actually you're correct. This sentence is not appropriate. A life time ban and 12 MONTHS in prison is appropriate."
 
This is a couple of miles away from me, it's heartbreaking.

His partner (who was the owner of the horses) is terminally ill and Mr Brennan could niether cope nor afford the horses. I'm not trying to excuse him, he knew they were suffering and kept it secret
 
I am ashamed of the standard of justice in this country sometimes. Why should this man ever be allowed to keep an animal again, he has not only failed these horses but obviously doesn't think it's that bad as he feels he has been hard done by and is appealing. He's a very lucky man, if I was to decide what should happen to him he would be placed in a small empty room with no food or water until he was emaciated and someone may or may not come along to help him. :mad:
