Am waiting for my OH to to take GSD to the vet he will home be soon. About 25 mins ago My 7 year old GSD bitch in good health just walked into the living room with her head tilted to the side and all her neck muscles rigid and eye a little funny. I grabbed her to see if the silly mare had swallowed a bee or wasp ( her fav pastime at the mo ) but couldn't see anything. I massged her neck it all lasted about 60 seconds and she is absolutley fine now.

I dont mean be doom and gloom but do you think this have been a small seizure/stroke :-(

It could have been, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's anything sinister. My dog has had three seizures over the last few years, each lasting for about five minutes, but the vet said that since they were so infrequent and she's in perfect health the rest of the time, it's not worth putting her through a load of tests. He thinks its probably epilepsy, for which medication would apparently not be very helpful in a case this mild. Either way, she's not had a fit in at least a year and she's a very happy dog, so don't panic! It could very well be harmless.

Glad to hear she is ok

Well she did mention it have been along with a small seizure however because it didn't last very long and she was fine so quickly after and back to normal keep an eye on her. She is going back next week just for another check I am not going to over over exert her and she wasn't very happy today at the yard as I woudn't let her run round the outside of the arena
