My hard as nailes whippet (and her # jaw)

She slammed into the other dogs yesterday whislt chasing a rabbit:rolleyes:, let out a small whinge, OH was out with them and he noticed blood on her gob and checked her mouth and a tooth fell out in his hand, so when I woke up off the night shift she was fast aleep on her bed, I took her into work to have her checked and have a dental done on her and noticed her bottom jaw looked a little wonky, she had eaten her tea by this stage, bless her she is now having her jaw wired and alot of wonky teeth removed:eek:, she is hard a nails for tiny little whippet, she never even moaned when she was jabbed.
 
What a tough nut! When a friends whippet had to have a bite wound stapled whilst staying with us (fighting with his brother, not one of my GSDs) he was good as gold for the staples to go in, no sedation needed. Vet was very impressed.
 
I am indeedy a harsh mammy, her jaw was pretty smashed up, even the vet was suprised, at first glance it looked slightly displaced, she is wired top and bottom and had bone missing and bone removed:eek: poor little swollen whipplet, she is fast a peepes on the settee:)
 
Whippets are hard as nails. I had one that came back after bunny chasing with a huge flap of skin hanging down - not a sound came from her. Another one head butted a rock, while chasing a bird - she punched her front teeth in and split her lip open. The vet didn't want to knock her out so he pulled her teeth back and sent her home. Again, not a sound from her.

One ripped her toe nail half out and I could not bear to snip it off, so I took her to the vet, I hid outside while they cut it off. Not a peep.

Best dogs in the world.
 
I have to agree, this whippet is the daintiest one I have ever had and she is like the terminator:D, considering it was possibly my rotti that she slameed into at speed:eek:
Im surprised she has bnver had any other serious injury the speed she runs into...well anything:D
 
Oh poor little thing! Lucky the jaw went and not her neck! Hope she is feeling better soon. x

Yep she is lucky indeedy, and she is so hard, her gob is amhussivly swollen and she has hardly any front teeth left and wire everywhere, but she has jsut attempted to steal some steak of the bench:eek::D

God damn it, im trying to edit to correct a spelling mistake and it says the message is to short:mad:
 
I'll do your jaw for you, I'm handy with a bit of wire and a few screws....your OH can pay me for the resulting peace and quiet later :p :D

Really! Oh poor little Blue, I knew she would be better off with me!!! (OMG, def too much wine, I nearly sobbed when I read that!!!!)

Fair play Blue you rough-ty tough-ty sort!!! I will give you a home any day (regardless of the "passing out at speed" business!) :):)
