My horse at a bee yesterday and it stung his mouth! Called vet after his whole muzzle area swelled up a lot. He said it will just take time to go down. That was a day ago and its now gone down. Didnt use any drugs so do you think it would be ok to ride (seeing as he'll now have a bit in his mouth)? Im just worried this could irritate the area or cause the horse pain? Hopefully im just being a bit over-paranoidn, just dont want a horse in pain!

Thanks in advance

My dog did that, the sting was still in her tongue when we got to the vet, she hasn't chased them again. I would think he would be fine if the swelling has gone down.
Have to call him poo bear.

Ahhhhh KE - poor ned! Was it a bee or a wasp? Wasps live to sting another day but bees die if they sting, coz the stinger is barbed and as they try to fly off, most of their innards stay behind with the sting. I'd give ned some serious tlc for a few days then get back on board. He can bee a perfect little honey for you and buzz happily around the school, but don't drone on about it any more! xxx
