On the way to the Hanngfield cross country ride today, my boy & my mum's mare were together in the trailer. All of a sudden heard a lot of banging so jumped out to see what was going on & the mare was stamping her feet hard & kicking the box, went round the back & my boy was sitting on his bum in the trailer (like a dog sits) not even panicking!! Was on a main-ish country road so had to stop the traffic..I was panicking big time so mum had to deal with it, she got the mare off & he got back up with just a scratch on one of his legs! He came off the trailer like a bat out of hell but was fine! Loaded them back on & off we went & thankfully had an amazing day!!

This happened to me today as well! We had barely gone more than 10min when we heard this horrible bang and lots of kicking. Pulled up to find one horse completely on his side but his head was being held up by his leadrope, he looked so awful! He was an absolute star though, once he heard our voices, both he and the other horse calmed right down and stood/laid very still while we unloaded our mare and then took his headcollar off. He got up straight away and we returned straight home. He seems fine but we will give him a few days off because I expect he is horribly bruised.

Hope your boy is fine. A word of caution - keep an eye on him over the next few days. We had one who did the same as you did, was fine on the day but two days later was quite lame and we are fairly sure it was due to the fall.

A rice trailer. The previous smaller fall we had was because a car was in the middle of the road and we had to perform an emergency stop so his back legs slipped under him. They then had the audacity to beep their horn at us! The scary thing is this time we genuinely have no idea what happened :(

We had a man try & get passed us while all other traffic had stopped for us & he even decided to wave his arms at me..so he ended up with my head inside his car through the window with me screaming & shouting & calling him everything.. I'm so not like that
usually.. just a very scary & stressful situation!

It may be that your horse is finding it hard to balalnce. You should try without the partition, lots of horses just need that extra space (mine does!!).

I know exactly what is going on in the trailer as I have a camera in there (screen in car). They are not expensive and a great help.

Glad your horses are ok must have been very frightening for you. Canteron can I ask where you got your camera from? Pm me if you'd rather.
