i have quailifed for 2 classes at the chiltern and thames championship show on sunday, today i went down to the field to see a new horse has beeen put out and my horse has a massive kick on his chest it hasnt broken the skin but it looks sore and the hair has come off, my horse is sound.
now is it worth me still showing him or will this count as a blemish and go against me, is it worth me wasting my time i have already entered the show???
what would you do in this situation?
i could cover with make up may be but i think it will still show up?

If I had paid my entries, then yes I would go as long as the horse is sound. If nothing else, it will be good experience.

Shame you did not have 10 days to go or I would say rub megatek into it twice a day and you should have hair back by then.

I would if the skin is not broken, use a little bit of make up to hide the blemish as best I could, but don't over do it or you will make it more obvious.

Any good judge should overlook a temporary blemish such as you describe.

Start experiementing now with makeup so you can have it perfect for the weekend.

Good luck.
