My horse has finally started to earn his keep

We went show jumping yesterday and won £5

I was thrilled as we had a fall in the summer and Boo lost a lot of confidence. In our last outing he put in a filthy stop and launched me over his head and it hurt! So then I lost a lot of confidence too. My instructor has been brilliant since then putting us both back together.

It was only a 2'3 class, but I felt so sick before we started. By fence 3 I started grinning like a cheshire cat - I probably looked like a mad woman! I didn't think we'd gone fast enough in the jump off, but we must have been covering the ground as we came 3rd

Boo just loved it and went out to the field this morning thinking he was god!

Now he just has to win another £3,745 to pay for himself.

Excellent news yay to you both...we all start somewhere I'm not the best jumper in the world either and I get sicky feeling before a class but knew my boy would take me round well so sat there with him...we got 4th...horah!

Keep at it and before you know it he'll have paid you back for getting him...LOL

I won't hold my breath about being paid back though - it's taken us 6 years to win an easter egg and a fiver

im 10 years on and he has won me a photoalbum, 2 numnahs, a feed voucher and just under £100 i think...

We usually jump 2'9/3' but we've been going so badly over this summer and its been so long since we managed a full course that I was thrilled just to get round 2'3! I would've done the next class but it was getting late and we had a fair journey home and 2 other horses on the lorry. Next time I will aim a bit higher!

That's not a bad haul but these horses are never going to make us rich!
