Yup George is starting to as well, it shows the days are getting longer as that's what triggers them to molt so spring is on the way - yippee!

Yep, Bobby-Fell has been rugless all winter so has quite a thick coat but over the last week his hair has really started coming out - another week and some more sunshine and I may need a hoover to deal with all the fur!!

All of mine are starting to moult, i love that it is spring, but i hate the moulting, in your face, mouth, up your nose, stuck to your fleece, hair every where bit. iv'e got a striping comb for the dogs, might give that a go on the gee gee's.oh and no bare back riding for a while either,

Yes, I noticed the fur on Jazz's unclipped bits (front of head and saddlepatch) coming out in handfuls just by running my hand over it!

Yep, Don't know if it's a god or bad thing, hair everywhere including me, problems is there is one grey in my string so now there is grey hair on everything, even the stuff she dosen't go near. How does that happen?

End of January for my TB mare. She's always started moulting that early. i have a theory that early foals end up as early moulters - probably a load of rubbish though

Mine starts early, generally January, and doesn't finish until June, and the winter coat is coming in by August, drives me nuts!

Yep mine has been molting for a good month!! Its coming out in handfulls! The older horse that i share is not molting at all.

Mine started in early January! Ended up going out naked in the snow because he was so itchy and taking down the fences when he had a rug on. Atleast most of his coat is through now
