I rode my boy today and he was a complete nightmare! He was seriously on his toes and felt like a coiled spring. After a lap of the school at hyper-speed I got off and stomped off in a huff, only to have him follow me round like a big, soppy dog! I got back on and he was ok-ish. Apparently my friend's horse had been exactly the same this morning. Anybody else dealing with spring grass filled loonies at the moment? Any tips on how to cope?!?

ooo yes my arab is a total nut case but took her to a rally and she bucked like mad. try a good hardy trot round the block before going to into the school. that was you give them something fun before giving them work. or if the hacking in your area isn't good or there isn't a quick route try lunging in a field. Try not to lunge in a school then ride in a school as as i said horses really get bored. it's all good though good luck!

I attempted to do some gridwork tonight, managed the poles and a fence then put up a bounce - Madam pinged into it and jumped it all as one!!!!! Would'nt concentrate at all, put a double bounce up, jumped part one, cat lept part two and somehow managed to run out at part 4 an i ended up on her neck!!!!!!

She is normally so good with gridwork, but was such a giddy kipper tonight could'nt do anything with her!

yep my horse at the moment is manic....he is puffing and trying to gallop about all the time...I drove past their field and noticed that he was racing at full speed up to my mare and just missing her, slammin on the brakes and then starting again....
my old pony is also turning into a nut and canter about all the time...cant catch her unless I have a sweet bag on me...even then I hang onto her neck as she tries to run off...!

my pony does that its so annoying youll be out on a ride and then all of a sudden she will go into one of her pathetic jiggly moments although it is kind of funny because she does side pass whitch i could never get her to do if she was in a regular mood but one thing that bugs me soooooooooooo much is that when you slow her down into a walk she jogs and will not walk!
