My horse is fascinated by machinery?!

He's obsessed, I tell you. Tractors, combines, quads, JCBs - anything that comes his way, from right outside his door to half a mile away.
Out hacking he'll just STOP and gaze in awe at anything remotely big and mechanical. He's like a toddler who's just discovered Tonka Toys!
Anyone else got a horse with a weird hobby?!
(Please, no one tell me he's a right brained extrovert. He's not. He's a horse. And he likes tractors

A long time ago my horse discovered a pasty in the door pocket of a van, whilst I was chatting to the van owner. Ever since then, he is delighted to stick his head through the open window of ANY vehicle, and has operated windscreens wipers, washers and horns with delight, ie he does it once, watches, then does it again! He also used to get on very well with a farmer at a previous livery yard, and given half the chance would march up to any tractor (even when they're flailing!!!!!!) and nudge the door. But when he stops and gazes in awe as distant machines, we just say that Harley is having trouble with his 'small, or far away?' concepts again!

he neighs to it, tryies to climb in it with you, tries to groom it and follows it everywhere

My horse loves machinery too. And plastic bags, which she always wants to stick her head into to check for carrots.

I used to tie her up outside the stable while I put new shavings in, and would put the empty shavings bag outside - by the time I had finished in the stable she would have manipulated the bag round so she had all 4 feet on it. Handy pony, anyone?!

We had a TBxWelsh who was fascinated by aeroplanes, from the big jets through to the little two seaters from the local air strip. She was even spotted watching a plane shaped cloud one day. She was also fascinated one day when some people were pushing their broken down car on the road next to here field

We could only stand there weak with laughter as she ket trotting on in front of it and then coming bawck to it. We could only assume that she was encourging them!
