Hey! how can i stop my horses mane being rubbed out by the neck cover on her rugs? Its a little late now because half has gone already but at least i'll know for next year!

I have stitched silk into the neck after a recomendation on here seems to be working so far

get a normal neck rug!!!! or st least take the neck of for half of the 24hour day! it is most likely falling out cos horse is too hot rather than being rubbed out! try a little experiment .... wear a thick woolly fleece lined hat for 72 hours (dont take it off, dont wash your hair) how do you feel then??

All mine are in full necks and iv never had a problem with rubbed manes. Could it be the fit off the rug and neck cover?

The other horses are fine in the same rugs but she's the only one that has her mane rubbed out. She not too hot and is clipped right out. Think she may be more sensitive skinned than the others.
