So not looking forward to tomorrow, poor Andy has a bit of rain scald and I've learnt from Louie that clipping makes it so much easier to treat. So this is the new Andy:

This is the pony who almost bucked me off after a blanket clip! He just feels 'well' when freshly clipped. So going to turn him out in morning get him in around 3 lunge him then get on and hopefully not visit the hospital! Neck strap, body protector and hat at the ready!

Now I'm well and truly kicking myself for sharing brushes between the two without disinfecting as I thought Louie didn't have it anymore but obviously still has bacteria somewhere.

P.s super mega pleased about his weight! I was so worried that under all his fluff was a skinny pony but was pleasantly surprised when I saw this. Never thought I'd get the weight back on him so close to winter.

He looks well!! My oh is in for the same fun tomorrow! His 5yr old is just back in training after injury and I clipped his full big fluffy coat off today! Been off since sept and has done a couple of days hacking so OH is in for a fun ride tomorrow!!

Wish I had the excuse of him being a 5yo! Nothing like getting told he's a lovely youngster at a show in reality he's 14 and my 6yo is more mature than him. Hope you OH gets on okay :)

He gets himself so hot out hacking I worry he'll over heat in exercise sheet, going for a sheepskin numnah though and going to make sure it's nice and toasty before it goes on so no excuse.

Will be wearing my new polite notice vest :) not that we'll ever resemble a police horse but oh well

He's cunning, that's the issue. Honestly he hasn't got a bad bone in his body but is a massive worrier and if he isn't worried about something he's excited about something and both result in the same horse; legs going in all directions, his ears up my nose, a lot of jogging and snorting and sometimes a rear/ buck/ bronc or a tank off.

Out hacking we do two speeds. Full speed and jog. He did get a lot better but since being out on loan he seems to have forgotten he can actually walk. :p

Good luck, fingers crossed for you. All I know is if I hit the ground I no longer bounce like I used to and I'm soon to be backing my youngster!
