She didn't eat all her hard feed last night, but did this morning, and seems to be doing ok.
The vets had no clue as to why she colicked - blood tests, etc all revealed nothing at all, but at least she is home.
Thanks for all your kind thoughts - I can't tell you how pleased I am to have her back.

P.S it may just be the stress of being in Horspitol thats put her a bit off her food, it happend to one of mine when he came home he didnt eat for a week.
 
A small clue may be in the age of your horse.

Having now cared for a number of older horses I have found their ability to chew their food properly (even with good regular dental care) reduces as they age.
One pony got fussier and fussier about hay'/haylage and would only eat really fine meadow hay--the kind sheep really like and ended up on complete fibre in a bucket.
My current oldies were introduced to softened feed at a much earlier age--I use Speedibeet and softened grass nuts and Hi Fibre cubes as the base for the hard feed with an Alfalfa based chop added and Top Spec supplement. This can be made wet and warm for the frosty mornings when they have probably not drunk as much water as they should overnight

If only the answer was as simple as tooth problems, then it would indeed, be easily solved.
I'll pass your advice on to my vet practice though - they could disseminate it through BEVA.
