Hi everyone,
My new horse bought in November, has seemed to be ok over the winter, hardly ridden, but now I have started trying to get him fit, he has got slower & slower to the point I had to get off after a mile abd walk home. The vet has done a blood test which shows abnormalities in the muscles, lungs and liver. He has almost finished antibiotics and the vet is going to retest blood & do and Endescopy on Thursday. Has anyone had similar problems, scared to death it might be reagwort poisoning, but doesn't seem to show the classic symptoms. He seems well at rest in the field, is eating normally, he is a five year old Connamarra X cob.

Are you sure he's not tying up (azoturia) as that happens with that? If you do a search on here you'll find lots of posts about it which you can check to see if it tallies.
Let us know what happens.

Hmmm, does sound like it could possibly be azortoria, does he struggle to walk with his back end? Does he shuffle? Does he seem stiff? Does it seem to happen after you have moved into trot and/or canter? - ask your vet to test blood for CK and AST levels and that will tell him straight away whether it is that and/or can rule it out completely.
