Every day when I get to the yard, he whinnies at me then starts waving his head about pulling faces, including laughing at me when I laugh at his antics!

Anyone else's horses do funny things?

Captain does lots of things HE thinks are funny, for e.g. he will grab the hat off your head, dip it in his water then bring to back to you. I think he has a slapstick sense of humour, he also loves to wait til you are watching, then pick up the full wheel barrow and turn it over. He always waits until you are looking though!

Harry's sense of humour is more toiletry. Farting when I'm brushing his tail, picking out his hind feet or pretty much anytime I'm stuck by his ar$e end seems to be his favourite.

Dropping his headcollar in water bucket or trough in field if it's left within reach!
Picking up the tools to 'help' if he's in his stable while I am mucking out.
Trumping when I pick his hind feet out.
Dropping his whatsit out when I am grooming him so I can clean it - always causes a great deal of amusement!

Spot has learnt how to open my coat pocket and try to get his nose in there (i dont tend to have treats in my pocket for this very reason, not sure what made him start doing this!)
Farts EVERY time i brush his tail, and not only the once!!
He knows that i have treats in my grooming box, so i try to keep it out of his reach, altho he stretches as far as he can reach and then with his lips gets the corner of it and then pulls it towards him and has a rummage around! cheeky monkey!!

if you ignore big lad he turns head on side and lets tongue hang out till you laugh then he puts head up ears pricked - my saddler shite her self when he did it to her but boy how i laugh . has so many party tricks to make you laugh :) big soppy 16.3hh muppet lol

My boy whinnies when I get to the yard too. :)

He is always nuzzling me and looking for treats and trying to get in my pockets. I have also taught him to bow and to hold his leg up for a treat which I'm beginning to wonder whether was a good idea as he now does it all the time - I'll turn my back for one minute and when I look round there he is bowing! :D He also wiggles his lips a lot and pulls funny faces - he's a right character!

Ron doesn't really, but Tom does all sorts of things!!

He puts anything and everything he can into a water trough or barrel if he's not centre of attention
He "sweeps" the yard if he can get hold of the broom
He throws stuff at you if you're not paying him attention (the farrier gets the brunt of it when he's shoeing Ron!)
He pulls faces until you speak to him
When you're riding and he has a tantrum (for no apparent reason usually) and sticks his tongue out until it goes cold and then waves his head about so it slaps him in the face giving him another excuse for more tantrum because clearly it's your fault that something hit him in the face!
He also will try to eat anything, only to spit it out at you, with the exception of wormer which he appears to quite like!

Theres one on our yard that lift his bucket over the door once he has finished his dinner and bangs it against the door untill you come and take it off him. does the same with rugs too. if he manages to get it off he puts it over the door or if the haynet comes down.
i think he is just tidy.

How cute are all your horses! Thanks for sharing.

LP has a video on Savvy Club of her Warmblood Allure sticking his tongue out to the side & ruining take after take of what was supposed to be educational video! LP couldn't continue with her teaching, because she was collapsing in laughter! It really looked like Allure was bored being the demo horse, so started lolling his tongue out to make mischief!

Please could you pop him up to me to teach Fany as she is the messiest mare I have ever seen. At present her favourite thing is to pull her huge water bucket over then play in the water! She also loves to move her haylage around the stable. It is such a mess within minutes.
