After riding this morning and having turned the dobbins back out, my OH and I were sitting in the field having a coffee and were about to have a choccie bikky when it was realised I had brought the wrong tin and what we had were liquorice allsorts.
Being a sociable type, my boy came over to see what he could blag, as he's rather fond of coffee and iced buns. For a laugh I offered him an allsort, one of the round ones that taste of aniseed, which he thoroughly enjoyed. After he'd eaten three, we told him to go eat some grass and finished our coffee in peace.
I know there have been plenty of 'odd things horses eat' threads, but liquorice allsorts? That's a new one on me.
