IMO there is no difference between us giving blood and horses giving blood. God forbid any of those who are so anti ever have a horse who needs a transfusion! Where do you think the blood comes from ?!

If you think that horse blood banks are for providing blood for horses, you are very naive. They are there to help humans primarily.
I was also in a similar position and looked into blood banks for my horse.
I am neither for nor against them as long as it is managed properly and humanely.

I am looking for a blood bank nearer to Hampshire. Does anyone know of one?

There used to be one at the RVC at Potters Bar, Herts, presume it is still there.
