Bless - that's a lovely picture. I can categorically state that my mother and my old mare had a hate hate relationship. It was weird. Never saw my horse with her ears quite as laid back as when my mum was around, even after 20 odd year of ownership. And my mum hated the fact that when I first got my girl I was constantly getting chucked off, trampled, etc.
