My horse pulls a funny face when bitting

Does anybody elses horse pull a funny face when they have their bridle put on?
You know when a horse smells something strange and they pull that really funny "gummy" teethy thing LOL!

hope you know what I mean.
Mine does this each time I bridle him, but he is fine once its in. I ride him in a 3 ring dutch bit, no probs when we are out riding.
Anyone elses horse do this or is mine just weird??

Our mare does this and pretty much always has (we've had her 19 years and she is 21 now). Normally just holding the bridle or headcollar prompts this behaviour and we just have to wait until she has stopped before we put it on - she is such a funny girl! She also does it if you run a finger over the end of her nose, and when she has had a polo or sweetie. Actually, she does it quite a lot I suppose!

yeh my pony does that face just before im about to put her bridle on lol. Shes a bit of a weird one
