My horse was broken in by monty Roberts!

But a session at a demo does not equal being broken in.

I agree, but it does (without wanting to get into a debate about terminology) quite literally get the horse started to the idea of tack and a rider.

I have some experience with starting youngsters after being a crash test dummy in my youth, but no technical experience if that makes sense?

At the grand old inexperienced age of 33, if MR backed or started or whatever a youngster I owned (I wish - I am not up to owning a baby) I would probably turn away or just do in hand work with them for 6-12 months. Perhaps with tack on perhaps not. I would deffo post about it though lol

I don't know why I am even replying! I know no where near enough to bring a baby on! I'd like to think I'd have a fighting chance though :o

Not bad for a claim to fame ;) How did he do as a racehorse after all that?

The only thing I've ever thought was odd for an ex racer is that he has never been spooky or silly

Racehorses are actually quite bombproof - they've had one heck of a lot of life experience by the time they get to proper adulthood.
