omg, i'm so sorry!

it sounds in your post like you think someone let them out? I really hope not!

Any news?

hi hugs and hoping this is just a little "horsing around" on their part. i cant imagine how you feel, well possibly i can, youre doing well to still function. are you back out there now looking? get as many friends together to help as you can, bear in mind how much acreage one horse can cover, alot more than your legs.

We had 4 escape one evening, I was 7 months pregnant and had to go charging about through fields and woods in the dark with 4 other people. It was very frightening as it was farmland that just went on and on and on until the carriageway.
After 3 hours searching they came charging out of the woodland in front of the van, thankfully they were fine and we nmanaged to contain them in a sheep field for the night,
Hope you have a happy ending, please let us know that they've turned up.

So sorry for you sweetie. Last time one of mine went missing Dad and I looked for 5hours in the dark, only for mum to return and tell us she had sold it- she 'forgot' to tell us!

I really hope you have had some luck this morning.

The same thing happened to my horse a while back. It turned out someone had opened a gate at the top of the field and forgot to shut it, 3 horses got out but no one realised. They had noticed the gate was left unlocked, so shut it and padlocked it up again, locking 3 horses out the field) This gate is never used, only by out YO about once a year so no one thought of looking beyond the gate as there was no other way for them to get out that way. We searched everywhere, neighbouring yards, all woods/fields they could have escaped to etc. Turned out 3 of them had got through this gate. They were found and had gone down footpaths and stopped in some woods right next to a huge field with loads of grass

That was about 5hrs after they escaped.

I was worried sick when I couldnt find him so I know how you are feeling, all the worst things go through your mind. But I am sure you will find them happily grazing somewhere. I am sending you lots of luck and hoping for the best xx

Echo Epsoms post - whereabouts are you and can any of us help in any way if they still havent been found??
huge hugs to you and i'm sure its just a cheeky shetland streak and nothing more.
Also, maybe its worth posting some pics of them? you never know someone might find them somewhere?

QR -

Just to say, I hope you have found them - little rascals. Horses escaping is always any owners worst nightmare. I'm pretty sure they will turn up though, they always do, so don't lose faith.

I don't know whether there are rules about stallion-keeping in England, but over here we have regulations in place because a stallion getting out is so much worse than any other horse. Maybe you should look into keeping your stallion in post and rail fencing. Best of luck.

I'd ring the ILPH, RSPCA and the Police again to see if anyone has reported finding some horses. Once out of their field, horses can easily get spooked and run in opposite directions for miles, especially if open country.

Hope you've found them by now?? any news??
