I was having lesson today and whilst warming up my instructor said my horse looked lame on the left rein, his stride was very short although i couldnt feel it myself, she said it looked like it was his shoulder, there is no heat or swelling in his leg!!

He has recently had a slightly sore back and has had some time off, his saddle has been completely altered to which my saddler was happy he is not restricted in any way and his back isnt sore.

I had a lesson on him on Weds night, he was fine.... He did fall right down on the walker yesterday, because he started being silly and i wonder if he has pulled his shoulder trying to get himself back up!

I am deliberating, do i get the vet or shall i rest him and see how it goes?

He could have easily pulled something. Depending on just how much it is affecting your horse would help gauge it with the vet. If your horse seems happy enough in itself and not particularly lame then perhaps give it a day or two. It is hard to judge without knowing or seeing your horse. Do what you feel is best, if you feel you should get the vet out soon then do it, if you feel happy that your horse has just pulled a muscle as such then perhaps wait a couple of days
