Poor girl she is in the wars at the moment. She got kicked on the hock when I was hacking out and was off lame for a couple of weeks. Then just as she was sound from that she threw a small splint, so holiday time again

Now I just spotted this big mouth ulcer (sort of circular on her lips). I have never come across this before have you? Is she lacking in anything do you think? (Other than a brain

Lots of horses get them...posibly gorse...or some other plant.
Only seem to appear in the summer, just pop some bonjela on

Does sound like an allergic reaction to something in field. My old TB mare used to get them at other yard. Try Bonjela or something similar.

No way, my friends horse has just got rid of 2 massive ones on her lip, sound exactly the same as what you have discribed, we were totally puzzled as to what they might be. They took about 3 weeks to heal but there all gone now.
