So, we are now the proud owners of this gorgeous 7 yo stallion :D
My husband moved heaven and earth to buy him, I hope he lives up to his expectations.
He is currently on his way but will not be with us until next week as he is coming from abroad and has to stop on the way to wait for the legal procedures to be completed (as we live in a non-EU country).
Enjoy:

Absolutely stunning - no surprise there though, you and your husband certainly have a good eye for a nice horse. What's his breeding (the horse, not your husband :p)?

How is your beautiful old liver chestnut doing? :)

Thank you. He is a Russian Trakehner but I am not sure about his sire/dam as my husband is terrible at remembering horse names :p. I will only know when he arrives with his papers.
My old horse is now semi-retired and on loan to a lovely lady for hacking only. She loves him to bits (almost as much as me) and he nannies her children (they braid pink ribbons in his mane and he puts up with everything!).

Thanks everyone. I have not seen him in the flesh yet but my husband says that his temperament is also to die for! I really cannot wait for him to arrive :D

oh hes lovely :)

My Sis in law had a Russian Trekhaner on loan and he was the most gorgeous boy 16.3 of pure manners he used to plait his hinds he was called Klinhok.

I do hope you both have many a great time with him

Thank you. We just talked to the guy who is transporting him and he was screaming his head off in the background. Calling out to the ladies in the stables that he will stay the night :p
He is the polar opposite of my own grey, ugly, gangly, fluffy young stallion (having said that, I will not change him for the world). I just hope he does not become jealous of his rather attractive new big brother :D
I will post more pictures as soon as he arrives.

Ah is this the one your husband wanted to sell his other (now yours) for?? So you both got what you wanted! :)

Very nice indeed!

Thank you very much.
Yes this is the very one. But (just to clarify) my husband actually didn't want to sell mine, it was me who felt compelled to do so out of a strange ingrained sense of duty and responsibility ;) I am happy that everything worked out fine in the end.

lol just a little, i'm more envious of the rather nice position said horsey husband has on that gorgeous horse!!

LOL, I must admit I rather admire him even after 15 years of marriage :D and add that he is a very good rider and horseman (competed up to GP in dressage and jumped 140 courses in SJ).
Here he is with my old horse:
