My landlady says I can have another dog......

Well actually when I asked her she said 'f*****g h**l you are mad' then said she was fine with it

Obviously she did said that she wanted the mobile home to stay nice inside (as I do too!) as I wont be here forever and they will want to rent it out in future. Sooooo have you any thoughts about how I make sure that happens?

Sitting area is square, with seating on 3 sides, each side about the length of a 2-3 seat sofa. I have throws over all the seating which I can take off and wash, as the upholstery isnt removable.

The sitting area and the bedroom have carpet, so I can clean that regularly, the rest of the floor is laminate so that gets washed regularly. I have a greyhound sized crate so can shut them in there IF necessary so there will not be any chewing etc...

Anything else I could do? If I hire a carpet cleaner I can clean the upholstery as well, so it doesnt get very doggy smelling, but I really want to keep the place nice for my landlord as she is so nice

no advice, mine are infrequent visitors to the living room (ie when ma is out and I can get rid of the cats)

The next one will be cat friendly - two trying to murder the yard cats is QUITE enough

Am I really mad I wonder? There is plenty of sleeping space for them but not a lot of floor space

First of all, you NUTTER!!!

I don't think space is an issue.I take my 5 over to my mums little bungalow and with her 2 we have 7 dogs lying around and once they're settled you wouldn't know they were there.

The difficulty I have keeping my place clean is after a soggy dog walk, much like today

, they come in stinking and wet and mess the place up. I keep plenty of dog towels at the ready and dry them in a back corridor and the whole house is strewn with throws, covers and dog beds

I have my own carpet cleaner with an upholstry atachment so I can get spills and mess straight away.

Which one are you hooked on and when you getting it then?

Thanks for the advice about the towels etc though, I'm going to get some more throws so I can always have some spare and some in the wash

This weather is just impossible though, even when I come in from the yard I bring in dirt and wet, so I am washing my floor daily at the mo

I did ask about Topper off the site but he needs some one-to-one work before he can go to a new home, so my contact at GRWE is going to let me know when a suitable one comes in

Although Cayla might well have already sorted out a little blue whippy for me..... it just needs to be the right sex
