I posted last night about me being a snob .
I mentioned no names , no name of show , it was my opinion ,NOT MY DAUGHTERS.
She has got into trouble at work as someone thought it was about them. I repeat she did not have the same views or know I had posted anything about the show ,she does not come on here. The secretary has also phoned her to complain.
I was not impressed with the health and safety at the show and won't be returning there but if anyone would like to have a go then it is MY view that I post NOT MY DAUGHTERS.
I have made alot of friends on here but if I have to watch what I say I would rather not post again .
Any of my friends are welcome to pm me at anytime.

It will all blow over, it always does. Its happend before when someone put up something about a show/judging and the organiser saw it and got very nasty.

I think if the secretary rang to complain, she should think about why she's complaining - is it because someone actually told it how it was?
I read your post and thought you were very fair - and incase the secretary is reading this, it's not just that show that's been "targeted". I'm sure we all have horror stories that we can share about local shows that we've been to - I certainly can. I think because we've been blessed with the tight rules & regs of affiliated comp, we can really see how things aren't as tight in unaff.
It's such a shame, and I hope you don't leave!

Oh dear, that's terrible! Don't go, people need to know how they can improve things and the very reason they rang to have a go means it must have touched a raw nerve.

I didn't read your post but I can't believe you would have said anything that bad, but they do say the truth hurts.

You are joking - I know I disagreed with you over whether adults should be allowed to do games or not but for someone to have a go at your daughter about it is terrible.

Dont leave, people should be able to take criticism (sp)? You were only speaking your mind and the world would be a much better place if a few more people did that!
As someone else said, you must have hit a nerve with the person who was secretary of the show. She should learn from it not have a go at you.!
We will all miss your reports and general chat if you dont stay.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, If I go somewhere and the place is awful I would mention it on here, don't let anyone bully you in any way.
At the end of the day you are thinking about safety, which the show seemed to be lacking, If they have been that eggy with you I would kick up a stink.

Usually people over-react most when they know they are in the wrong.

Meaning that they have over-reacted not you!

please don't go, it's ridiculous for anyone to get so offended by what you said (which i thought was quite mild actually.) fwiw i totally agreed with you, just didn't read the post until i saw you were going! *clings to Carthorse's ankles* please don't go, you're a valuable poster here.

Been back and read the post and really there was nothing in it that couldn't have been said, how silly are the organisers.
Most unfair that it was taken out on your daughter, and shame on the people who said anything to her, it was you they should have tackled if they felt so aggrieved.
It must have come via someone reading your post here so whoever you are, don't be so damned silly.
People have opinions on many things, I for instance loathe Pony Club heirarchy but I took my kids there as I knew the actual thing was good for them and they would enjoy it. It doesn't mean I have to say I enjoyed it because I didn't!
I dislike shows with millions of small ponies milling round or people whizzing out of control in collecting rings, and have said so, but I would be very forthright with any show sec who rang me to say I was not entitiled to my opinion.
I think as you don't intend going to that show again a sharp straight to the point letter to the show sec won't go amiss; explain they have the wrong person when they aimed at your daughter and that in future please get their info correct.
To the person who so obviously ran tittle tattling to the show organisers, please put them straight, as you are bound to be reading this to see the trouble you deliberately caused..

Carthorse You're mad if you let this drive you off here, I happen to agree with you that gymkhana on the lead rein is for kids to enjoy, not be high powered..
 
you really cant let some small minded dictator make you lose out on something that has given you a s much as you have given others.... if that makes sense.
One reason i like to keep who i am as close to my chest as possible as i simply cant be arsed with the kind of peole that have done this to you.
Pity them for being such a bunch of small minded t*ssers and stay.
