Its simply ridiculous that someone could have taken what you said and end up getting your daughter into trouble. You are entitled to your opinion and free-speech. I read the thread and didnt see anything wrong with what you said ... actually I agreed.

So please dont let some small, petty minded idiot ruin something good.

Gosh you can't go. I just read your post and it's not that bad you are just stating your opinion which isn't that bad. I haven't a clue what show you were at as no names are mentioned.
Someone is totally overreacting. I run events all the time (not horse ones though) and if we could please people all the time we'd be miracle workers. The sec is def a touch sensitive IMO. Also to take it out on your daughter - shame on them!

Haven't read all the posts..... Oh dear someone has got issues with the truth! You were only reporting on what you saw and whoever it was that had a go at your daughter should be ashamed of themselves. And as for tittle tattling to the show secretary - well hopefully next year the show might be run a little more carefully in the respect of health and safety issues you brought up!!

Don't go - we all appreciate you and your honesty!
 
Carthorse - Im afriad I wasnt following this controversial post but please do not let tittletattle from what I presume are amateurs kicking up fuss!? I have very much enjoyed your posts and your knowledge and opinions are valuable to us all!

You have done nothing to be ashamed of and must stay with the forum. Surely once the person at your daughter's work find they've accused her wrongly they will apologise.
Different circumstances completely but... Many years ago, my then boss was having a raging affair with one of the girls in the office and I was unlucky enough to answer when his wife phoned - boy did I get an earful! She got an earful back though when I could get a word in edgeways and point out that I was not the aforementioned dirty little tart she had mistaken me for.
 
I am relatively new to posting on here. The whole attraction of becoming involved in a forum such as this is that there is a real mix of experience, age, and personal opinions. Therefore there is a real mix of answers to every post. It would be a sad old world if we all agreed on everything. Carthorse, I can understand while you are feeling so upset about this. But looking at the massive response you have had to your post I sincerely hope you continue to be involved on this great forum.... Its seems you are a very valued member.
 
Dont be silly, you cant leave just because someone has disagreed with what you have posted. I think its wrong that the organiser called your daughter, as like you said its nothing to do with her

CH you were expressing your opinion and personally I would agree with you. Probably because we are used to the generally serene nature of dressage!!!!!!!! Others may just think we are boring! All comes down to personal choice.

You are entitled to your opinion and I quite agree with your post, I also HATE to watch the abuse that goes on during these types of competitions, and if the organisers would like my phone number just PM me and I will gladly give it to them, both my phone number and a piece of my mind, because I don't care.

Yes I have had a upset related to the internet and details etc you really don't no who is about etc and some people are just plain nasty Its put me off saying some stuff now etc

Don't go C I only live a little way away from you but I keep up on what your upto on here loads and I don't see you as often as I like..... But hopefully S and B will be in teams together soon
