My little angel is gone :-(

I went to the yard tonight to do my horse and no-one called me it broke my heart, she was brave and beautiful right til the end.

I am heartbroken and had to deal all morning with texts off a "friend" telling me i may have rushed into this!
Never has so much thought gone into anything.
In my heart i know it was the right decision but that hurt a lot and made it harder.

Now she is free and i felt this kind of surge of relief and happiness as i drove home, only for a few minutes maybe it was her going to heaven? (maybe i'm a sap!)

Thank you all for your help, advice and support recently.

When I had my forever dog pts, the biggest brightest rainbow appeared, I took it as a sign ( still seem strange that it should have come that day), so you are no sap, just a kind human XXXXX

As for your 'friend' maybe she just felt like she was offering you a way out and did not realise how much thought and heart ache had gone into it, and wished that what she was saying was true, although it may seem a little tactless now, hopefully she ment it in its turest form

You're not a sap at all and like all good caring owners, the relief you felt was the relief in knowing you had done the right thing by her. Cherish your memories, they mean a lot.

I was thinking about you today as we went to the yard and a new pony was in Teds stable.
Always remember that the best decision for your horse is always the hardest for you.
If you hadn't done it your angel would still be in pain, now she is not.
