Measured my 2yr cob yesterday - she was last measured in June and stood at 14hh, yesterday she was 14.1 and a bit and bum height was 14.3hh - hoping she will be at least 15.2hh - what do you think?
She is a chunky sort. Had her feet trimmed yesterday and took her to local livery yard to have them done - approx 5 min walk, she was a bit full of herself on the way down as her pals where running about but soon as we passed them she was really relaxed :) on the way back a few cars passed and we walked past a large van with its engine running and she never flinched. What a good girl!

Not sure if its any help but my friends 2 yr old cob was 14.2 last month & has just taken a huge spurt upwards so looks like will def make 15.2. My welsh was 12.3 at 2 & is now 14h at 4. She has also just taken another stretch so am hoping she will end up at 14.1/14.2 as she is reg as a D. I'm sure she is taking her time about growing just to worry me. My p/b welsh was a lovely 15.1 4yr old & quite fine when I got him which was great as i'm only 5ft 1. Then he turned into a 16h COB at 6!!!

my cob is 3 years old, and is 14.1hh at the front and 14.3 hh at the bum. He looks very bum high, but one person has said that gypsy cobs tend to have higher bums than fronts. I am sooooo confused !! The back man said that full maturity is six years old, and cobs are slow growers. I'm hoping for 14. 3 all round.

Not much help, sorry, sm x

Yes cobs like freisians in a way do have high bums! So I wouldn't always go on that. I've just measured my yearling coblet and he's 14hh at 15 months, I'm expecting him to make something between 15hh and 15.2hh.
